I'll be the first to admit I'm a victim of that propaganda. I would love for a converter designer to chime in and really discuss the flaws of the format and elaborate on the limitations and possibilities. That's what I'm really after. I don't want to speculate.
I know Teddy Ray has often cited some really esoteric and high end converters that may be capable of improved capture. It's not financially possible for me to own any of those units, but it surely would be interesting to hear how well some of those really high end units can capture an analog source in comparison to what I know.
