I see a lot of newbies coming on here expecting everyone to teach them everything about engineering and production, and hold their hand in the process. But, I see very little contribution from them, and these threads almost always go in a negative direction. I think everyone here would like mutually beneficial and positive interactions. So, in that spirit...
Newbies need to learn to use the SEARCH function before posting... PERIOD!
Learn what you can there FIRST, and then come back and start a very specific discussion (that shows you have some grasp on the concept you're wanting to discuss).
Notice I said "discussion" and not "ask a question".
All broad newbie threads will be closed with the suggestion to use the search from here out, and I ask that the veteran members of the forum DO NOT POST IN THESE THREADS! Report them so I can close them when I get around to it. I will give an INFRACTION to YOU if you have time to post in it about how they are a newbie, but can't report the post instead.
If everyone follows this rule, the BS on this forum will be reduced by a considerable amount. Also, being a newbie has NOTHING to do with your post count, there are people with 5 posts that know more than those with 5,000. All a post count means is that someone has a lot of time to post on the internet. That is something the newbies should keep in mind, too.. POST COUNTS MEAN NOTHING here!
