I hear what you're saying, but there have been some truly
innovative,
forward-looking plug-ins released or developed in the last year that look "forward."
A lot of my string parts are created by pulling apart famous orchestral recordings from thr '60s and '70s and adopting them to conform to my own compositions with Melodyne DNA. This is something that would have been impossible even just a
year ago.
All in all, it's a good time to be alive! I feel grateful for all of this technological advancement. I'm working hard to make music that deserves it!
