The Gordon is IMHO by far the best sounding pre I've ever used, and I've heard them all. Russ Long let me use his for a few days, and I immediately bought one. It is my first choice on vocals, snare, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, and everything else. Great with the Folcrom, too. It is so three dimensional and open that the sounds seem to jump from the speakers and sit in the air in front of you. I know I'm sounding like an advert, but my new Model 5 has changed the way I hear music. I absolutely love it. Plus Grant is incredibly cool and helpful, and he will personally deliver the pre to you if you live here in Nashville. Best customer service I've ever heard of!
