I am starting to using lots of High pass filters to keep out those unwanted lower frequencies but, I really want to make sure I'm not cutting anything out that needs to be there. Can you guys give me some recommendations you use for stuff like:

Vocals (male and female)
Acoustic guitar
Snare drum
Any drums
And anything else!

Yes, yes......I know I'm going to here "just use your ears" type responses from guys (and I am), but I just want some basic starting places and recommendations you guys have found. Thanks
