I've had the AMS' reissues, my pristine non recapped Originals and the BA's all side by side and in blind tests none of the Neve snobs could tell the diff..including me..
My tech[rebuilds old 80 series for a living] swears the newer ones are a bit cleaner though..Don't matter to me,they all will get "that " sound..
..If you want the imaginary security blanket of the "N" logo ...fine, spend the extra grand and be done with it..otherwise buy an Averill or even Chandler LTD-1 and make records thumbsup
