after some searching around. i decided I'm going to spend more than i was planning to and get a radial JDI. I downloaded the manual, and it said you can run it in reverse and it will work great. (at least thats what they say)

so i'll see if they're right and report back. i'm ordering it in a couple of weeks after the holiday craziness.
