Well, I downloaded the demos for Altiverb, and TC's VSS3 and DVR2 and spent some time this weekend trying them out. It's actually a bit hard to get a feel for the demos with their awful disabling technologies built-in (Altiverb's submarine ping and TC's effects turn off and on at random intervals), but from what I experienced so far Altiverb came in 3rd place to the other 2 reverbs for my tastes. It didn't sound bad at all, I was just always able to come up with something a little better with each of the TC solutions. But the Altiverb demo has very few IRs included, so perhaps I'm simply not able to use the proper samples for the tunes I'm trying to mix.

Being a true Gearslut I probably will end up with all three products before too long but right now I'm leaning towards the Powercore plugs first. Still if anyone wants to try to sway me from that decision I'm open to persuasion...
