Yes it is. Lord knows, I still have nightmares about Iraq. It is a terrible thing to take another person's life. Very, very heavy thing to live with. I could never understand the gravity of that situation until reality really brought it home.
but sometimes..it is kill or be killed..and even though I struggle with things I did over there, I know in my heart of hearts that it was the right thing to do at those moments in time.
anyway. I have an IMMENSE respect for guns and the power they have to shape the course of someone's life. but to throw all guns to the wolves, to neuter the defensive capabilities of everyone out there in the name of "world peace" (right, like that will ever happen). thats throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
