The super thin rap vocal is something very recent to the daw age-lack of skills new engineers. This is one of the main reasons people on forums can't get their vocals to stand strong in the mix.

Sounds like the usually suspects. I personally really like the sound of those vocals I think they are up close and warm.

I was wondering if they changed mic setups with each take or if they used the same chain the whole time.

I also wondered if mic placement changed that much per take and if they were all back to back or done on separate sessions.. any info would be great!
