You are supposed to have low end in vocals. Fabian knows what he's doing and by his prices and discography he is far from budget.
The super thin rap vocal is something very recent to the daw age-lack of skills new engineers. This is one of the main reasons people on forums can't get their vocals to stand strong in the mix.
