I agree that they should get a deeper look into Ableton Live, Propellerhead Reason, Logic & ProTools. It's still very similar to Cubendo, and yes, that makes it easy to switch for those users. I now work with this DAW 3 months, and I have published some feature requests here:

It will be funny to see how Steinberg will react on Studio One. And other DAW makers. This is a DAW that will gain some market size, because it's not positioned as a niche player, and it's fresh code. Hopefully the DAW scene will also develop more open standards based on this new wind in competition.

Btw. for those who speak the German language: there is a nice article in the Keys magazine 04/2010 about some runner up DAWs bringing more innovation to the marketplace
