(rapper finishes recording)
Rapper: Yo, can you mix that last part real quick?
Me: Sure man, let me make some quick edits.
(I edit his vocal tracks, then begin applying EQ... 5 minutes pass)
Rapper: So are you gonna mix it now?
Me: Actually that IS just what I was doing.
Rapper: .....
(confused look, a few seconds pass)
Me: What's up?
Rapper: How you gonna mix it without a turntable?
Me: .....
