Mine is not really dry and pillowy like a lot of current house stuff is but I dont want to sound like that .
Yours sounds too clicky to me..personally I like a little heavier and distorted bass, but I am thinking of trying your trick on mine to see what it does.
I am using cubase..are you making 3 slices for top bottom and body when you chop the kick sample or more?
