personally, i would save up for the oktavas. i've been using a pair of large diaphragm condensers as primary overheads for a while, and it's just not as favorable to me as small diaphragm mics. there's too much midrange muck that i have to EQ out later.

i can't speak for the mc012s but the mk012's were excellent on a session i did some years ago. i've just been too cheap to buy myself a pair.
