Are you talking about music not being motivating or life?

If it is music...

Put your axe down for a year or two.

I once put my guitar away for five years.

Then I met two great players and singers and for three years music was great. Then I put the axe down for a couple years again.

Then I found a world class drummer and a world class singer and for eight years straight we were gigging every week and the sound was awesome.

That ended in 2007 and I moved to San Fran and once again the axe is down till I find some great players and singers.

So as you can surmise, my take is that surrounding ones self with great artists is the ultimate musical motivator.

PS. Any great players or singers in SF? Bowie, Annie Lennox, Radiohead... please get back to me.
