| Acceptable Foam for Reflection zones?
Hi Guys,
I want to place more treatment in my room. My studio is in an attic conversion and the ceiling on each side angled and plastered, so reflections are a problem. I really need to treat these and would love to make 4" panels from Rockwool to place on the side walls and as a cloud above my head. However after consulting all parties I cannot mount these panels in a way that would damage the plaster by drilling or nailing hooks into the surface. Its a real pain, but that is the situation.
I've always discounted foam products, but am thinking that I could at least make my problems better by treating the side walls with foam and building more free standing panels to place in my corners.
Is there a kind of foam that is better than others? There seem to be tons of people offering it for sale in the UK but I am dubious as to some of the sellers' claims, and frankly their knowledge. I would rather not go the auralex route as their foam products are just plain ugly.
Is there an equivalent mass produced foam such as we use mass produced kinds of rockwool/silk/oc703 in panels?
Thanks,
Iwan
