RADAR + Toft ATB 16 = perfect home studio?

i am looking to upgrade from my Digi 002. instead of upgrading the converters and being stuck with an outdated semi pro system i have decided to go for something pro. i know someone who can help me get a deal on a RADAR so i've settled on this: RADAR, Shadow Hills Gama 8 pre (less than 350 per channel, DI and variable input transformer), and the new Toft ATB 32 channel desk.

I mean RADAR over PT HD right?

Do you think this is a wise decision? i record pretty straight forward, neil young/bob dylan/the band/lynyrd skynyrd rock/folk.

what else do i need to "complete the package" ? i was thinking a stereo comp like an API 2500 for mixing/tracking and a pair (or a pair + 1 of something else) of really good mics that i can use for vocals and drums and and basically everything (although i have good mics). i was thinking a pair of ribbons (coles or royer?) and a Soundelux u195 or maybe a pair of charter oaks?
also i guess i need a patchbay?
