| This one is not something said, but rather something seen:
The intern at the studio i used to engineer at was a little overzealous, but lacked common sense. While doing a final listen to some mixes, the entire band, manager, and few of the band' s friends are crammed in the control room to listen. I have the Masterlink cd tray open, getting ready to pop in a blank to burn a copy of the album for the band - who has to leave in an hour to go back on tour.
The intern wants to be part of the listening party, and is working his way through the 'crowd' to get in front of the speakers; in doing so his ridiculously long wallet chain hooks onto the cd tray and rips it right out of the machine. It was amazing to watch the whole band just give him the 'what a dick' look - and it wasn't my studio or intern, so I wasn't too upset, though I got stuck there for an extra few hours waiting for this same intern to return from GC with a new burner... After a month of work, the band had to leave with no cd.
