Hmmm, this didn't come out the way I expected at all. At least thought that the root sample would null. If someone could verify, that would be terrific.

Settings - Setup:
Logic 9.1 32-bit on 10.6.2
File used: Delta_Osc1_Fatso_017
EXS set to 0db. Kontakt 3 set to 0db. MIDI notes to vel 127. Didn't even get the original root sample to null. For nulling I used the Gain plugin in Logic for the Kontakt instance. Just to avoid any latency confusion I engaged one on the the EXS24 as well. Without the phase flip
Offlined bounced to 24bit wav .No dither.

The first tone is transposed -2 octaves
2nd -1 octave
3rd root
4th +1 octave
5th +2 octaves

What makes me think I might be right, and the test is not flawed is that the sound changes when switching the HQI setting in Kontakt. To me that "proves" that something is going on inside the playback engine.
Again I could wrong. Well there's really no right or wrong as someone might prefer the sound of either player, my test (at least for now) just show they sound different.

Please burst my bubble
/Jens
