Attending mastering sessions with Grundman, Sax, and Ludwig improved my recording, mixing and mastering immensely after I left Motown where I had been taught by folks from Atlantic, Media Sound, United-Western and Gold Star.
I really can't say enough positive about the value of attended mastering sessions no matter how much experience you have.
