So I finally got it!
My first dedicated mic pre..

Just hooked it up to my NTK mic.. Im feeling it! But not sure Im feeling the mic.. cant wait until I get a Sm7b to try out on it..

Just a few things.. whats up with the MIC/LINE knob?!?!?

With my OUTPUT Cranked, Starting from -35 (in between -30 and -40) I start to get a signal. This keeps increasing for every step I turn (even the Off setting?) until I hit -65 (in between -60 and -70) there is no signal any more. Then when I move it one step ahead again -70 the signal is back and it keeps increasing until I can not move the knob any more and that is between Off and 10.

Is this the way it should be?

And also When do you use the Phase switch?
Is this for instrument recording with 2+ mics?
Or do you ever engage this setting for vocal tracking?
Cos I can hear that the sound changes when the phase switch is engaged the sound becomes a bit more.. rounder maybe and some what smoother.. but also not as sharp.

And when do you engage the Low-Z?

Sorry for my nobe questions...
