Thanks X but there is some stuff I'm not clear on. Why must I set up a kick drum to program the pattern? I'm not talking about a kick drum, I'm talking about this trance gate sound found on track 14, "Fallin in Love" on this link (it's at the beginning of the song, and then played throughout the song)

So I really don't understand why everyone keeps mentioning a kick sound.

Also, you said to "put a gate on my trance sound." I don't know what that entails, nor do I know how to do it. Everybody keeps telling me to put a gate on my pad sound but it'd be nice if someone explained what that means.

Finally, I take it that sound is a pad? I thought it was a synth or something but if it is a pad, I will start calling it that. I'm trying to learn the correct terminology.

Thanks for your help I know that is alot of questions.
