Have you got any examples of the style of kick drums you are referring to?
I will have a go at recreating a few if you'd like.
p.s Has anyone noticed that the Thomas Penton drum samples have been completely smashed with a limiter? Many look lile sqaure waves - it really shocked me when we bought the library to compare what was on the market.
