So I made a beat a while back, and I done it about 4 in the morning, drunk and stressed out. The beat which i came back to this week, to finish, is really a beast of a tracK if i must say so myself. Anyways something i did for whatever reason, the way i played or been that i was in a crazy mindset, i made it with 6 bar cycles as apposed to 4 or my usual 8. I could take it back to 8 bars, bear in mind its not an 8 bar loop it changes. from cycle to cycle almost. But what about leaving it the way it is? Would this be wrong? Would it cause problems somewhere? Would it make people shake their heads at it been different than most? saying its not right etc etc. This is important, as i will be presenting this track to an important listener soon, along with others i feel fit the persons style. Please let me know your thoughts on this.
