I'm really happy with my Presonus Firepod. It's got eight preamps, SPDIF & MIDI in/out connected by Firewire. The preamps are good, too. The only drawback is that you cannot monitor the SPDIF input and you monitor the analogue inputs in mono. I've found it very reliable, too.
