Greetings,

I've owned a pair of AKG headphones for 25 years. I have grown to love them. Unfortunately now they are falling apart. The cord has been pulled out so many times it is no longer possible to resolder. And the cups are all but worn out.

My old phones say "studio monitor" on them. But the end caps that give the model number are long gone. I remember they were top of the line when I bought them.

I have since bought two sets of AKG headphones (K240 and K270s). Neither one sounds as good to me. I want the same sound if they are still available. The K240 has a bigger base boost and the mids and highs do not seem to be as detailed. The K270s matches the bass better but they do not seem to have the mid and high end detail.

Does anyone know which current model my old phones may be?
