BTW, your room is pretty much a cube around 10ft edge, so I assume you are having difficulties in getting a flat response there.
Regarding your question, no you can't fit 4" depth of fiberglass into a 2" frame. Not unless it's actually fluffy glass wool, that absorbs much less.
Your room needs lot's of treatment and heavy one. 2" panels won't do any real good and placing too many of those will just kill the mid/highs and do little for the bass.
One suggestion is to make 6" deep floor to ceiling traps for the 4 corners. Use a kind of semi-reflective thin facing (see FRK) for them. Then make another 4x 4" panels for first reflection points and see how things improve as you go.
