Thanks for the help guys. I turned off all of the Vista permissions and it's still a no go. Could it be because the j edit is 16 bit and the Vista system is 32 bit? Weird. I contaced Johnson and the support guy told me that there was no install for Vista and that they had no plans to make one.

MIDI Quest looks like the way to go. It's like 400 bucks though! Not sure I want the J station GUI that bad. LOL
