Are you serious?
The first audio app I owned was CoolEdit. Samplitude has been around since 1992. It is considered as the first DAW to do non-destructive editing. The whole object-based thing came from their way of dealing with the pitiful horsepower of computers of the time. "Sampie" still can record audio direct to RAM.
Many of the features in the vid may look Cool Edit-style, but trust me, they've been in Samplitude for a very long time.
