I also kind of agree with this too, except actually I think alot of new sh*t is solely DAW based... which is why it blows. If your DAW based I think your less likely to come outside the box to process your sounds and give them that extra punch via outboard gear. Also I think I need to clarify something... I only advocate MPC's for drum programming and sample chopping. Everything else should be left to a DAW and although combining the two can be time consuming you can reap the rewards. But hey, different courses for different horses whatever you make good music with is good for you !
