thanks, i guess something went wrong then...
because rew doesn't recognize my digi 001 i came up with the following workaround:
+ ran rew on my laptop instead of my main computer
+ rew sweep from laptop into digi 001 played back through monitors
+ mic (38% position two monitors) into digi 001 back into rew laptop
