this is so true. i actually learn the skill of eqing with mic plancement. m ic selection and pre amp selections. by the time that i finish tracking i don't need to much eqing for a mix. so plugs help here. besides, i don't mix most of my stuff. i usually have some one else mix. as fare as dedicated delays go, there are tons of great plug for delays. psp lexicon clone for one (which i own). besides, with the eventide and the tc elctronics (i also plan to pick up 1 or 2 spx2000s) this is more than enough to handle all of our fx needs.
i just hate when people do realize and respect that people have different work routine and styles. why would you criticize someone when you don't know there skill sets or even heard their work? that's just crazy!
