To all the douches taking the "Jealous, failed musician road" fuuck

I said it before, Nickelback has every right to be who they are, just should be called what they really are, Pop. The guitar playing equivalent of Britney Spears. Would I turn down a high paying Nickelback gig? You're damn right I would. I have turned down a high paying job in finance and I'd see this as no different. So before you accuse people of being jealous, or bitter, washed up, just stop and think that maybe it's not about the end result, fame, money, etc., but how you got there. I could make the same type of money doing things that I think are horrible. I CHOOSE not to.

It is of course important to distance yourself from any popular, mainstream, corporate America bullshit like Nickelback. After all, you have YOUR OWN taste and are soulful enough to see behind that utterly worthless crap that is sold by the millions every day. You are not only different from the crowd who likes this musical diarrhea, but of course also better than them.
Remember when you were a kid and your parents wouldn't let you do something and your rationalization was "Everybody's doing it" and they asked "If everyone jumped off a bridge would you?" Just because a lot of people want to do something doesn't make it a good idea for EVERYONE.

the actual music doesn't matter all that much to me either way I enjoy it.
Sorry to pick on you James. Usually I think you have very good views on things but this, I do not agree. It is actually an attitude that turns me away from certain musicians I meet in my personal life. I DO care about the music, therefore I would NOT, for all the money that we owe China, ever play a Nickelback song.

Anyway, I think I've said all I need to on this topic cuz I usually don't give Nickelback this much attention. They have their place, I just happen to think rock should well... Rock.
