| I believe you are right. The 10,000 hour mark is a good gauge for really mastering something like a musical instrument or mixing audio.
I love the band that came into the studio to do a CD, and the drummer is just not quite ready for prime time. He tells me, "I try to practice every day." I ask him how long he practices, and he says, "5 minutes or so." He was serious. I told him it takes me at least a half hour just to warm up. I don't think he ever warmed up during the session, though. |
