| There really are 2 ways you can attack this -
If moving back 2 feet puts you in the sweet spot - why don't you just move back 2 feet ?
But - before you do that - how are you certain that when backing up 2' really gives you the true bass levels coming out of the speakers in your mix?
If this is just a listening spae - who cares? If it sounds good it sounds good - BUT - if it is a mixing space - then you need to make sure it represents your true sound levels - otherwise your mix might well end up with very low bottom end (if you happen to be sitting in a peak)
So again - I ask you - how are you actually testing the space?
The 2nd possibile attack is to leave things where they are now and fix the room (if it's large enough to be possible) to make it right - but then we are back to needing a lot more information before being able to give you any reasonable advice.
