Highlight the region, press apple+"D" really really quickly.
Or, if your region begins at 0:00:00.000, highlight the region, press apple+"D", hold shift and press Return (to highlight the new region and the old one), press apple+"D" (to dup two regions), hold shift and press Return (highlighting four regions), press apple+"D", and so forth. Every time you repeat this, you'll double the amount of regions you're duping, which makes loooong dups fairly painless.
You can do the same thing by duping, holding shift while selecting the first region, and duping, holding shift while selecting the first region, and so forth. This way is good for when your regions don't begin at 0:00:00.000.
Although, if you ask me, the IDEAL thing to do is
NOT MAKE MUSIC THAT IS A THOUSAND ****ING BARS OF THE SAME GOD DAMNED THING!!!!!!
