I have to agree. It's nothing too complicated. I just like the tamborines in the chorus
which seems to be somewhat his trademark for some tunes.
As for synths, any phat synth with Portamento can get the Saw synth sound. Virtual or VA Or Analog. Being more an Analog fan myself, I can get that sound (very similar) with my Se1x or even Oberheim OB8 (surprise surprise!) ... Even the Juno106 can get it. It doesnt sound Unison. Its just a portamento and the choice of notes he is playing. Straight forward (Little Red Corvette - Prince) like chords really. Try singin it....
