I like Logic a lot - been with it for the last six years. That said, I think you may be best served by going with what you know and like which sounds like Pro Tools. Sure, an 003 isn't going to be like a PT8 but there are workarounds. You could get an 003 modded - check out:

These sound really fabulous so honestly, if I had spent the last five years working in a PT room and had to build my own system, I would probably start here.
