The reason I ask is I used both ina song and it sounded pretty good. I added a quick "mastering template" for EQ and compression on the output track when mixing it down, just to give it a little punch. But it really modified the sound helping it some areas, not in others. Just go me wondering if during thing like mix down if these types of plugins are usually left out of the buss that you may be applying other types of processing etc.

With Addictive Drums, you have 2 choices. Within AD, there is lots of tweaking that can be done from EQ, compression and verbs.
My preference is to send evry AD channel to a seperate DAW channel. From there, you can treat it like a real kit and mix to your heart's content with your preferred plugs.
