Waves has been making some impressive stuff lately, but I'm one of those crazies that doesn't dig the idea of paying 25-30% of my original purchase price when it comes time to upgrade. (Would have hit me up for about $400.) I'd rather invest that money in hardware.

OTOH, I really enjoy the new UAD plugs. The EMT 250, Fatso, Cooper Time Cube are great. The LA2A is totally satisfying. The Neve stuff is cool too.
