I've demoed the API and I loved it, just haven't had the chance to pick it up yet. Like other people have said... versatile. If you do rock music I would suggest these.

Personally I do a lot of acoustic/lo fi stuff. I own the Abbey Road plugs and I can do most of what I need with them. They do have some color which if used wrong and too much can make things muddy. [the brilliance pack being slightly different...it gets brittle IMO if overused].

So my opinion, which may be irrelevant to you... The Abbey Road stuff is more of a gem. You can do things with them you can't do with any other plug in. The API stuff on the other hand, may be overall "better", as in you can do more with them. So I second this:
