I thought I'd better let you guys know where we are with the R24 development.
I did mention a while ago that I hoped that we'd be at least showing a working prototype at NAMM, but it's looking unlikely due to the fact we have to ship NAMM product this week and we're still testing and developing. Sorry if you are going to NAMM and expected to see it there. However, I'll be there on the A&H stand (we're launching some other new stuff) and I'll have pictures, layouts, info on the R24 & hopefully swag!
The R24 is looking very impressive - it's bigger than I expected! We're getting the automation working very well and the analogue design is pretty much complete. I'm not sure if it will be in the ZED family as it's a much bigger beast - I thought of calling it the GS-??? (we used to make a GS3000) - maybe appropriate after all the G ear S lutz input!
Pricing is a bit of a nightmare - UK metalwork and components are so expensive now it's hard to design stuff to manufacture here these days and still be competitive.
So it's taking a bit longer than originally anticipated, but I'm sure the end result will be worth the wait.
