I think it's a good idea to have a tape deck around for color as well as special FX(varispeed, reverse, etc)

I'd get rid of the Fostex and try and get a very small 8trk

unload the B16 on some enthusiastic newbie & find youself a pro format ( 1" 8 track or 1/2" 4 track ) if you really want "That Tape Sound"
