I guess thats the particular mic and sibilant vocalist, depends on that situation too,
a good sounding pre /a smooth one like GR especially/ doesnt play such a role in sibilance in my opinion, as sibilance isnt created in there but appears during the performance, so most important part is the mic capturing whats being performed..

Funny thing is that I usually choose Great River over other pres mostly with sibilant vocalists as it helps / controls / tames the sizzle bit. I usually try to find the mic first, then changing a pre.. and being careful with comp on the way in..
