nope...you need to make some dirt/colour happen while you are tracking - make some decisions and lay 'em down.....a bus comp is not going to do much if all your tracks have been laid down squeaky clean...your mastering engineer can take care of the mix bus compression for now.....i think you need a comp (and maybe another pre) for the tracking side of things.
