Hey guys,

Just been watching some recording vids on Youtube. Some of the vids were of recording sessions in high end studios. But one thing I noticed is that in some vids, they might be recording the singer as he/she is playing the guitar, which is also being recorded.

How do they go about editing the sound afterwards, seeing how everything is being captured in the mics?

Do they get the sound they want pre recording and then pretty much still with it until, the next take where, they might change the EQ, compression or something?
