Personally I would not bother with barker codes and repeats, others seem to think it is best to have repeats, I just don't get it myself.
So I would just use the available size you have and work from there, know what wall thickness you will be using, you have your depth (tho for any realistic build 600 mm is almost certainly NOT required so straight away you have the depth saving you wanted), have a rough idea of how high you want to diffuse and the design pretty well sorts itself from those parameters.
