| Start the site out being exclusive. Only get a handful of members on the boards meeting eachother and critiquing their beats, etc. After a bunch of threads are made with the basic feel of "friendly, constructive, open beat website" set in stone, open it up to the public.
Also, make sure you've got a nice variety of categories for people to place their beats under. |
