Talking Lunchboxes for remote recording

How many of you remote guys use lunch boxes on remote recordings.
... and I don't mean extra pres for bigger jobs.
I mean you lug it with you to every single job!
Does it become a hassle if you do? How do you get it from place to place (safely?)

I convert with a Rosetta... one optical out going to light-bridge for PT and the other optical out going to a BU recording unit.

I am in the process of buying some new pres and I am totally torn between getting a 1U or 2U rack unit of 4 pre's (ISA, API, Hardy, etc)

or...

Filling up a lunchbox with 4 pre's (to start)

If I do go lunchbox I'm thinking of two Grace m501 for stereo recording clean material ie classical, acoustic guitar, piano and just two clean channels... cause sometimes ya just need em!

Then two channels of something really solid, little color, something extra for flavor. In the likes of 512c, Great River, Buzz Elixir, Burl, any recommendations on here.
I am looking (down the road) to have a diverse selection, able to record multiple types of music.

The pros of the rack unit... it's already in my rack case, will be added to the patch bay in said case.
Cons, I lose flavor as I am stuck with one type of pre-amp.

Any suggestions?
